From Patty Wagon's library comes a real rarity, a bound collection of the July through December issues of 1913 Motor Boating magazine. Yup, you read right -- These are 105 years old and in beautiful shape. They are bound in what seems to be an early 3 hole punch system. There are 48 pages to each month, with December having 96 pages. This is the real McCoy. It even smells old. In leafing through it for photos, I found one page with a small 1" tear from the top of the page. These magazines are largely free of advertising. I'm guessing in those more genteel days that subscription prices were high enough to support publication. Each issue was 10 cents, with a yearly subscription costing one dollar !! I've had this book on my cocktail table for 40 years and it's time to find a new home. I really don't know how to price this as there are no comparable sales for guidance. Something like this is made out of "unobtainium" and the rarity factor along with it's remarkable condition definitely affects the price. I will sell to the best offer north of $100. See attachment.
