maybe I am missing something but is there a trick to get the tachometer out of the blaack pods they are mounted in? I got them off the helm but do not see how to pop them out...does the screw in the back do anything?

thx!

Yes. It releases the tach from the pod. Ha! (But no, I’m not kidding)

Begs the question, how on earth did you get it off the helm without releasing the screw first? Did you just pull the entire tach cable with it?

There was enough slack in the tach cable to pull the pod 4-5” off the helm.

thx for the info!

it seems tricky to get far enough into the bottom to unscrew the cable from the tach..
