I have owned 3 of the 42' Commanders over the past 12 years, but the one I purchased a few months ago is possibly the nicest yet. The attached photos will show you a beautiful boat, which has the 427 engines, and is all original except for the furnishings. My wife has a terrible disease and it is taking all of my time and money to care for her and, very unfortunately, I have to sell the boat, which is located in east Tennessee. It has always been in fresh water and, as far as I know, under cover. The gel coat is in great shape as is the rest of the boat, except for one small area of wood in the guest bath (see the photo). Forced sale, and a bargain at $27,500. I am happy to answer any questions and will take calls at 615-202-8393

I think this boat was bought new by Lee Iacocca?

I think that is correct, although I have not tried to verify that information. It is a 1972 with Hull No. FBA424043

It is a '70............a good deal, hope she goes soon

Glad to hear from you. My information as to the year, based on the hull no., comes from the book "Chris Craft The Ultimate Guide". Maybe I just looked at it wrong. My apology to those who have read or relied on the above.

Where in TN is the boat located?

Watauga Lake, between Johnson City, TN and Boone, NC
