Well fellow Commanders, I did it. Just listed our beloved Catalina on eBay with no reserve. Fond memories, especially our days in Milwaukee and attending CCC rendezvous. Sixteen ports visited on Lake Michigan over ten years. Fond memories of all the help provided by fellow members as we literally rebuilt things from one end to the other.

Thank you Dick.

Let's see where the bids go. We've made an offer on a 2004 Cruisers 375 aft cabin, and it was accepted today. Modern times (with fuel injection!) are coming.

Looks like a very pretty well sorted boat.  Hope the auction treats you well.

Dale, hope your auction goes well she is a nice looking boat.  We have a 33 as well.  I notice in your photos that you have a lower station helm seat.  Ours never had one, and I have been trying to develop a solution.  Would it be possible for you to provide me some photos of your so that I can fabricate something close to the original?

Hi Greg,

I'm headed over to the boat this morning to do some final clean out. I'll get you a bunch of photos of the helm seat set up. Everything is from Garelick - double wide seat, stainless brackets, alum poles - this is how Chris Craft originally did it on the option list.

In the meantime, here is the hardware:

Dale,

Thank you,

Greg, back at the marina waiting for member David Scott to come look at the Catalina. Have some great how to photos for you on the Garelick helm seat, but doing this from my phone and can't figure out how to attach photos.

Dale,

Thanks for taking the photos, not always easy uploading here, wonder if you can see my email in profile if that makes it easier.

Dale, thanks for showing your boat! it looks even better in person, ran great, and is very clean. And the layout is nice for either overnighting or cruising. I'll be watching the auction, but I have to say I am still thinking Commander. Just something about the old Commanders. I had never considered the Catalina, and I don't think you'll find a nicer one.

Thanks David. I appreciate the time you took to come to Lake Lanier today. It was a pleasure to meet you and Julie. Best of luck in finding a Commander.

Hi Greg,

This should give you a good idea. All Garelick, down to the stainless mounting hardware.
