Hey everyone, I got married last weekend and came into some wedding money that my new Wife and I received we are going to buy a new GPS. I am going to buy one with a ThruHull transducer. Does anyone know the Hull angle for the transducer I need? Any suggestions as to which one you have had some luck with?

I have no answers to any of your questions, however I am in need of a new windlas, hadn't thought of getting married to get one. Not a bad idea..........Best of luck to you and the bride.

If you plan to go with a thru-hull transducer, you will need a wood block cut to angle it so the transducer shots it's beam straight down.  This is how the original one was on my boat.  I opted to move to a transom mounted ones.  I've got a SIMRAD NSS7 with a sidescan and regular transducer both mounted to a transducer mounting plate (allowed me to only have the plate mounted to the boat directly).

I received a Good windlass anchor for my 35 in Sept 2012... due to Hurricane Sandy damage and boatyard backlog, it is only getting installed now.
