Would you believe it... last day out and coming into the gas dock to get a pump out.. going slow put in reverse and the engine stalls.. start engine put it in reverse and bang bang bang from the port side..

Pull out boat hoping something on prop... nope... go to spin shaft and it spins 1 way one rotation and stops and the other way same thing locked up?

Anyways while investigating I notices that the trans don't match. Port is P33L and Starboard is P34B-R

Spoke with Mike Watson the orig owner and he said it cam that way with the boat from 15 years ago... I'm wondering with time if the different gear ratios had any effect..

So I'm looking for a P34B-L to replace the P33L...anyone know where I might be able to find one?

All else is great and had a fantastic summer on the boat...

I doubt they’re different ratios, more likely is someone rebuilt one with a different ratio to match the original. The tag on my right trans is like that, says it’s a 1:1 by the model number but it’s a 1.5:1. I would open it up and see what went bad if it was me. There’s no geni in the bottle in there, they’re surprisingly simple.
