Well, the time has come.  After 6 terrific years with our Commander, it is now time to send her to her next caretaker.  For sale is a 1968 Chris Craft Commander 35 Express cruiser. Some details:

Repowered in 1998 with Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI.  Fuel injected, 300hp each.  Approx 1800 hours if memory serves

Raymarine radar

Older fish/depth finder

Full time AC and DC power with 1000W Xantrex charger inverter to handle the AC power (no onboard generator, we use a portable generator that I can part with if needed)

House battery system provides 24-36 hours of AC and DC power (depending on load).  There is a spot for an additional battery bank

Refrigerator

New Marine Elegance macerating head with 20 gal holding tank, aerated (no smell whatsoever)

50 gal flexible water tank added (original tank long since removed)

"Infinity" vinyl carpet in cockpit, looks like teak, great traction

Newer VHF radio

No shower, no water heater, no air conditioning

Extensive maintenance records from my time of ownership

This has been a fantastic boat for our family of four and we have taken her all over both sides of Lake Michigan with total confidence.  I have the original anchor light mast and stern railing as well.  I'm happy to answer answer any questions, and I have more pictures upon request.

  • Hi I'm interested in taking a look at boat 708-906-3798

    thanks John

  •  What is the hull number?

  • I currently don't have a Chris's Craft but we are in Sagutuck on vacation we are looking to buy a Chris Craft

  • Tim, I don't remember the hull number off-hand, so I will have to look that up when I get back to the boat.

John, it was a pleasure talking with you today.  Hope you enjoyed your tour of the boat and are enjoying your vacation in Saugatuck.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • This is a sweet boat, modern in all the right ways.  I rode on it from Holland to Saugatuck and back years ago, it was one of the experiences that got me shopping for a Commander.

  • Thank you so much for your interest! The boat is now listed with Coral Gables Yachts. I'll forward your info to them, and you can contact Brandon at 616-405-1715 or brandon@cgyacht.com. I'm still happy to answer any questions you might have.
  • Hi.  I've been speaking with your broker, Brandon and he's a great guy.  I have some specific questions about your boat, however that probably could be answered between us.  If you're ok with that, please send me a message here and I'll get you my phone number so we can chat.  Thank you so much!  -Jay Gann
