Earlier this week my boat was transported to its new home along the west shore of Lake Michigan. I showed up the following day for the launch and to put it in the slip, since the new owner was new to twin drives.
Thanks to so many of you here for the help and shared knowledge over the years. Char, a special thanks to you for all you take care of here. I have a deposit on a 40' Regal. I sure wish there was a Regal site with the dedicated members and boat knowledge of this site. I will likely miss this resource more than I will miss the Commander. I will still check in on occasion, maybe I will be able to help someone out. After 8 years of Commander life I have learned a few things.
Hi Steve!
Congratulations on the sale. We look forward to meeting the new owner. You have been a faithful and enthusiastic caretaker.
We appreciate how you have shared your knowledge with us on the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of your Chris Craft Commander. Your achived posts in the CCCC Archives will be a benefit to present and future Commander owners.
Once a Commander Club member, always a Commander Club member. We hope that you will continue to participate in discussions.
As this chapter in your life ends we send you best wishes as you explore new horizons and make new memories.

Congratulations on the sale . Honestly the commander was a way better boat than a regal . Regals have a very thin hull . Enjoy the new boat . You may later regret selling the commander that’s built like a Sherman tank
Sorry to see you go Steve. There is a regal owners group on Facebook. I work on those frequently.
Enjoy your Regal! That's a sweet post btw. You left your 35 in better place and that's all anyone can ask of a caretaker. Good job! However, I bet you'll be back someday :)
