Long story short, I own a beautiful 1968 CCC 38 which my wife and I have been refitting and updating over the past few years. The marina caused small fire damage during shrink wrapping December 2023. Now 7 months later they said the work is complete. Upon inspection today the job is half-as$ done.
We filed a police report today. The marina owner said if we go through their insurance they will claim it a total loss and I will get very little for it bc recent sales have been very low and mine isn't "in as good of shape as those."
Please help me fight them and get the real value of my boat and the pay out I deserve to make our boat right.
Thank you for reading.
All good advice here. Now to answer your question tho. The only “value” you will get on your boat is thru a survey and truthfully? It wont be a solid value. Never is. Also it will cost you money and the results rarely make an owner happy. Now that being said, I dont believe this repair will total the boat but thats only and opinion not a fact.
