Thanks for welcoming me to the forum... I'm a new boat owner... and yes this is a lot of boat for a newbie... just want to make some great memories before my kid outgrows time with family. I will apologize in advance as I have a pile of questions (previous owner passed away and the marine mechanic I had get the boat running took full advantage of my limited bank account).
I'm having some concerns with my electrical... today went to visit the girl and found there is no power and this has me a little concerned because it means the bilge pump won't be working.
Anyone have some troubleshooting suggestions? I have shore power from the marina...
Find the 12 volt DC panel. There should be a disconnect switch for each side with individual breaker switches below for various items like lights, pumps etc. Hopefully the main breakers have been switched off for transport and not switched on.
Good luck, Tim
Thanks Timothy I will check back after I've given it a try
So I started at shore power and worked my way on board. Shore power connection had came loose. Was able to start the bilge up and start dewatering after about 15 minutes power died... checked batteries and they are very low 4/5 volts... anyone have electrical drawings for a 42'??? Or a manual??? I figure it's something really simple and I am just not seeing it
