Hoping to get some quick feedback here on the 350Q unique intake; very close to making purchase of an older Hatteras (I know this is a CC forum) but nonetheless the boat has twin 350Q engines; I have recently read a lot about the how the intake manifold is unique on these models and basically cannot be replaced ONLY if you happen to find and after market original which can be very difficult and expensive.
I don't know that I want to get into engines that I can't maintain long term if an issues comes up? The engines currently have approx. 600 hours on them so likely in good shape for a while, BUT with the inability to get a part like this could be a game changer; any thought would be appreciated; thanks!
My port 327 Q engine is 55 years old and still running good. Winterize with antifreeze and they should last that long
