Does anyone know precisely how the three (3) hull sides were fastened together on a first generation 47' Commander, as at the location in the photo attached ??? My understanding is that the hull was assembled in three (3) sections ??? Were bolts used and laminated or just laminated ??? I noticed that a covering "putty" appears to have been used at the "quarterfoil" seam, as in the attached photo, however, no sign of bolts being used ???

From what I have seen looking at the foil seam, the stem and the transom V on my 1973 47, the sections were only laminated together with no mechanical fastening. As you can see in the photo below, the foil was only laminated together on the inside of the hull.
