Hull number decoding

I am the proud new owner of a 1972 41 Hardtop commander. I need some help decoding my Hull number. The number is:

FAA-41-0049 H

the 41 is the length but what is the FAA? Also, there were only 151 of these made so I assume that in 1972 (the first year of production) this would have been boat #4. What does the 9 and the H designate?

Incidentally the first digit, 0, plindicates the first year of that model's production which gives pause to think 1 equals second. New math from Chris!
