Has anyone actually applied to this company for insurance? I filled out the application on the link provided and the response was--not a holy grunt, zilch, noda. Did I miss their response, or do they not want my business?
Hi Les - Thank you for pointing this out! Yes, we did receive it and everyone's applications are being processed now. We have new automation that didn't kick in like it should have to let you know we did receive this. I've fixed that and it shouldn't be a problem again. With the big push on the site, we've received a record number of requests for this and we're ready for the challenge! Nick Economus (he's in the Confirmation of Receipt email) will reach out to you when your proposal is ready, or if he needs anymore information. If you need to contact us sooner, the CSR's information is there for you. Thank you again, and we look forward to talking with you!
I had a very pleasant and professional experience with Hagerty last year. I called them first and they were very helpful, I sent in my application for insurance, provided a Survey for my boat and they insured my 1973 Chris Craft. Shortly after that, I had Hagerty insure my 2nd boat, a 1987 Century Coronado. Give them a call.
This is the timeline of my experience with Navigate Risk Advisors and Hagerty Insurance Company.

Do I really want insurance for a company that treats its potential customers with such disregard? If I get this insurance, will I be treated the same if I have to file a claim?(I have NEVER filed a claim on any of my boats).
I apologize for this being so long.I didn’t realize how involved it has been until I put it down on “paper”.
It appears you are dealing directly with Navigate Risk Advisors, an insurance broker. My experience with “insurance agents”, who represent multiple companies has been poor. They all have a great sales pitch, then fail to deliver. As for Hagerty, I contacted them directly, filled out their application and followed their requirements. Hagerty response was timely. I submitted a required Survey. I corrected issues noted on the Survey and my application was approved. In your correspondence I do not see any mention of a Survey? Did NRA advise that you needed a Survey? I know Hagerty requires a Survey for older boats. Definite requirement if it is 50 years old.
We are not happy with the length of this transaction, Les. The carrier has also been difficult to work with. I'm going to look into this and see what is going on.... This is NOT how our service is, and we will figure out why this is taking so long. I'll be in touch. Holly Roe
Joe, normally Hagerty IS awesome to work with - we work with them a lot, and we've worked out a system that should have been smooth.... that's why I'm wondering why it's not going smoothly. Les, thank you for your comments and we will get to the bottom of this because your application through us shouldn't be more cumbersome than working directly with Hagerty. We're here to help with details, renewal, carrier expectations, and claims. TJ is a Chris Craft owner and understands the insurance on these boats. Surveys are sometimes required, yes. With our relationship, some can be waived based on certain criteria. We strive to make this as simple as possible.

I did submit a survey and a lot of pictures. I have spent thousands of dollars on this boat since I bought it about five years ago.
"If it's a boat, it needs to be worked on".
the reason I contacted Navigate Risk Advisors is because they were supposedly giving special rates for CCCC.
