I have a few of the original style double square fixtures that came off my 1981 381 Catalina. I believe they were originally manufactured by Progressive Dynamics in Michigan. I'll try and find them and post photos.
I have several, same style as your photo, that I removed so I could update to LED dimmible overhead lamps. They're all in very good condition. My Commander is a 1973 410 Flushdeck.
Mitchell- I am curious, would you not be able to use any LED bulbs, or just not dimmable? I would be interested in buying some from you, but want to replace the bulbs with LED- let me know how many you have and the cost. Feel free to text me at 616-886-1409
Hi Steve. You would be able to use LED bulbs as they are the 1127 bayonet bulbs originally. I went to all LED bulbs in my motorhome and they used the same bulb. I updated all the fixtures to LED with 3 different light spectrums, dimmible, etc. I would be willing to sell what I have or whatever you need but don't have any idea what I would charge. I have 9, mostly doubles and a few singles. They are all in good condition. I can provide photos if necessary. Likewise, feel free to text me at 503-438-5072. Make me an offer.
I also noticed in my pilot house the overhead was 110v. I removed the old fixture and replaced it with a slimline led with a multicolor outer rim. I will use the red for night travel. Pretty neat.
These are three fixtures that came out of my 1981 381 Catalina. They are the same model of light that were also used in the 1974 35 Double Cabin (350 Catalina) that my parents owned. The switch configuration allows for off/1bulb/2bulb operation. They are in great shape as the boat they came from never left the Great Lakes region. I'm willing to let them go for free + shipping cost to any Chris-Craft owner here that is interested.
Yes! I would still be interested in yours yet too… especially the single ones. Shoot me a pic when you get a chance..I would still like to buy some more
