My 38 Sedan with flybridge has small leaks into the salon when the bridge gets wet. I suspect it’s through the penetrations where the teak floor strips are screwed down. I’m thinking of pulling the teak up and putting down a one piece synthetic floor (Seadek). But does the teak provide strengthening for the floor, such that if removed the floor will flex too much when walked on?

No the teak hs no structural value .
You can also just re-bed the fasteners that hold the teak on to address the leaks you have .
Thanks Jeremy. I also don’t like the spaces between the teak that catch stuff and make it hard to keep clean. I’ll look into rebedding though.
I understand about them catching stuff . If you choose to get rid of the teak it would be wise to glass in the fastener holes from the teak strips or at least fill them.
I wouldn't rely on only the synthetic flooring to cover up all those holes.
I would fill them, or lay down a layer of epoxy to cover the whole area.
On another subject: inside the flybridge helm housing, around the base, is wood about 1x1 presumably attached to the housing and the ‘floor’. This wood is all rotten. I’m wondering what to replace it with.
Once you remove the bad wood ,you've got several choices
One of those woukd be to replace it with coosa 26 .
