Here is a 13 minute video of a classic boat parade.  Harsen's Island is very close to Algonac, MI where Chris-Craft started.  This is Pure Michigan and why I love living here --- the boating!!!  At the 12:03 mark is  Jim Hering's 1964 38 Commander Hull number 38 LAST CALL.  Thanks for sending the video, Jim!!!

Many of the boats in the video will probably be at this event this week-end!!

I plan on being at the Port Huron show tomorrow, driving up. One of these days I’ll get mine cleaned up enough to put in one if these shows. It’s tough when I use it so much though.

Thanks for sharing the parade video Char, my parents are in it with their 1938 sportsman   Molly-o   that my great grandfather bought brand new and has been very well maintained and kept in our family since new

Funny that I posted about going to the show and a mini meet up at St. Clair Harbor with no responses. With the number of Commanders on Lake St. Clair and The River you'd think some one would be going..

Oh well...

One big reason I’m not taking my boat is there’s 2 boat shows this weekend I want to go to. Port Huron, and The Metro Boat show. The other reason is the 120 mile round trip cruise for a weekend. If you’re up there Friday afternoon I’m up for meeting up.

I probably won't get to the St. Clair Harbor until 7:00 or so. I have a slip by the gas dock and am staying all weekend. I plan on dropping by the Metro Boat show on my way back on Sunday. Give a shout if you are around.
