Looking to source either a new or used trailer purpose built for a single engine 27’ Commander.

If if anybody has any leads on maufacturers that have already built one, or a used trailer, please respond.

Thank you,

Bill in Maine

I use a Venture VT7900 dual axle to haul my 27 single. I think the current model is VBT7900 (galvy) or VATB8025(aluminum).

p.s. Trailer Outlet in Tilton NH has the best deals around here for Venture trailers.

Jim
Awesome information
Thank you very much
Is that a bunk or roller configuration?

Thanks again
Bill

bunk. I wouldn't do a roller trailer for my boat. I had to raise the bunks a bit for the hull to clear the fenders, now it's a perfect fit.  I think there's an old thread here where I put pictures of my trailer.

Perfect
Thank you very much
One more question....
What is the clearance requirement to store the boat under cover when on the trailer?

Overall height?

Thanks

I'd guess 12 feet. We clear bridges easily.

Jim;

I was hoping to get a more accurate overall dimension of the boat sitting on the trailer. My garage door is 12' high and the

concern is having sufficient clearance for under cover storage. I have not bought the 27' Commander as I write this but in all likelihood will be an owner soon.........or at least hope to be.

Although not critical, having an accurate dimension would relieve some anxiety. Guess I'm showing my age as I never used to concern myself with such things. Enter a frown here.

Thank you for any insight.

Bill

I've been looking for a trailer for my 27' since my home made utility/boat trailer didn't work out.

Can't help on height but here's some prices and manufacturers made for a 27' dual axle, bunks and front guide bunks. I'm guessing 8k lbs and no bow eye on my boat...

These are 2018 prices, last year they were about $1000 less...

Don't have a quote for a Venture

I talked to Gary at Loadmaster in Northern Ohio, they made one for a 27' $6,625 now offering a 5% discount or added accessories till July 31

Nextrail of America will deliver to your door, no payment till delivery, talked to Lance $5250

Piratemarine.net $5200 pick up in Ohio

RealX trailers Miami Fl $5790 plus shipping or pick up

Platinum Boat Trailer $5400 plus $400 delivery

Owens and Son's in FL $6579.43

I've been looking for used but no luck

Sorry Bill, my boat is in the water, no way to get an accurate measurement. I know the chine sits about 2 inches above the trailer's fenders, so maybe I can measure from there up on the boat.
