Specifically, I'd like to know about the 28' Sport Express's stringer and hull construction.

Is the hull solid fiberglass? Are the stringers wood construction?

I understand the 30' Tournament/Sportsman had no wood in the construction of the stringers.

What other models of CC Commanders had no wood in their stringers?

I see that Commanders, at least some, were built with hollow box beam construction...

I started to reply that all the glass Commanders of the new, 1964 to 197? series were strictly glass then realized this hull being deep vee may be different.  The stringers fwd of the engine room will have weep holes to the bilge which obviously lets you in on the secret of hollow or wrapped.

Good luck, welcome aboard and keep us posted.

I have one I'm restoring.  hollow box beam heavy fiberglass construction.

Cord,  I'm working on one (28) as well. The lower helm seat is not installed, nor are there any signs of holes from were it was. I really would like a pic or two of the seat's exact mounting location. Is this something you could do for me?

The helm seat is not original in that pic. I've got a few pics that I can try dig up.

Thank you for your effort Cord!
