Captains........ how is the teak  bow  mooring bit fastened at the forward bow / stem / keel area on the 38 Commander ?   Looking for any info before I dive into that area on a 38 that has been towed a few times over the years and has a loose teak post .

Tim. How loose is it. Mine sort of floats in the square hole in the deck. Mine goes down to the stem. Never paid that much attention

Tim, how is your 35 mounted, doubt there is much difference in the bow mount.

Our 38 has the post just bolted in at the bottom, open the anchor locker and look down you will see the post and the bolts I would think you can just tighten them

Next time I am at my boat I will examine and report back.   Someone told me once it was glassed in to the hull, but I don't know if that is true.   My post is solid as can be, but worn.
