Is the mattress for the centerline act cabin a standard size (off shelf) mattress?

Following this.... as I’m taking the two beds, (and fuel tanks) from port and starboard side and putting dead center aka like you are talking about ... we where planning just a regular kind size mattress

Does anyone have close dimensions for the mattress?

Mattresses are sort of standardized. I would measure up what you  have or have room for and then match that up to what would be a good fit. A lot of this depends on what you feel is important, open floor area vs bed size.

A word of caution, On the 410/41s, 1973-1974, which had the vertical tanks, will likely not handle a king sized mattress very well, even if you move the head and shower as there is about 20 to 24in. difference in room length between the vertical tanks vs the tank under the bed versions. This will not be an issue in the later versions.

To the original question of size of mattress for the factory built 410 aft center line bed.  Has anyone successfully used a store bought standard size mattress on the standard pedestal?

the original measures 66x74 - just measured mine - much longer and there would be interference with the doors

Thank you

If you are talking about a Queen-sized mattress it is not a standard-sized matter. If you can find a store that sells customer foam you can have a beautiful bed made cheaper than you can buy one. Lisa and I have the "Queen size" center matters on our 1980 410 and we had a custom foam replacement made with a pillow top foam built for less than $300. Then Lisa bought a matters bag for a  typical queen and we had a beautiful bed!

We had the same foam shop build the bench seats upfront without the softer foam used in the bed and then had the V-berth redone as well! Wonderful sleeping these days!
