8v53 Emergency Shutdown Flapper Assembly frozen open

Does anybody have any suggestions where/how to find this part? My mechanic says it is the rod with a roller pin that needs replacing (attaches to the flapper).  I’ve contacted the below companies and they don’t think they can get the part   Does anybody have a diagram that would show the part numbers?

Diesel Pro Power

Powerline Components

Diesel Parts Direct

thanks! Right now the engine runs great, I just want to make sure this is working for safety.

Couldn't agree more on the parts thing. Have you seen that ad for the auto parts store where the customer says the car makes this noise "Whirr" and the parts guy in the back chimes in with the part, part number and location in the store?

That is so far from the truth now its unbelievable. Polar opposite in fact. It's rare to find anyone knowledgeable in the parts business.

Hi Jacob.

I can trade you a pair of running 4-53N's in exchange for those 8v53's. Just think, you'll have half the number of cylinders to worry about and burn less fuel too. You'll also be able to ignore all those pesky "no wake zone" signs.

Good luck with your flappy thing.
