Ummm...they don’t? Though I guess everything’s relative. Can you post a video?

I suspect your batteries are either too small or not charging. Mine roll fairly quick - only turning over 3-4 times - unless we’ve been on the hook all day, then in which case they may be a bit sluggish, but still fire quick enough to overcome that.

I’d check to be sure your batteries are fully charged and big enough.

Clean and tighten  all the terminals and tighten the solenoid to starter motor nut if applicable.

Your starters may need be rebuilt.  Maybe the brass bushings are worn and need to be changed .  This will cause the shaft to be misaligned and the starter will be week.

Can you post a video Thomas?

Thanks guys I think I may not have enough cca I’m going down to the boat I think all fore of my battery’s are dead cycle and not starting battery’s they are fully charged and clean they start but turn over so slow

Common problem on old commanders. Do you have 2 six volt batteries in series for each engine?

HI All

I had this problem with my 338 commander. I have new batteries, New Ground wires, I checked all connections.  I had a Ground from each motor, That was Old and the problem. I replaced it and tighten it up very snug, Engine turns fast and starts !!  Ground wire most likely..
