It's  time  for  bottom  paint.  They are  getting  the  growth  on your  hull.  A possible  temporary  fix would  be to  scrub the hull.  I used to  anchor  in  shallow  water  tie a fender to the  back  of  a  garage  broom  and walk  around  the  boat  sweeping  the  bottom.

It might be turtles as well. A different boat at a different marina then the one I have now.

Tim is correct!  They are really hard at work at our marina in Oklahoma!  We have many boats on lifts and they love to bang on those tanks.  Cleaning their food source off of the bottom of your boat will cure the problem. I used to have a 36' CC Roamer steel hull.  When they hit that it was really loud!

Thanks men, don't have time for paint just yet. But they have got to go. I have read many articles and I am getting out the Di-No-Mite!!!

That was my next suggestion, just make sure the boat is not nearby.

On the return from the Michigan City Rendezvous we stopped off at Henry Harbor.  The harbor had many pontoon boats and the banging of carp sucking on pontoons was quite impressive.

Tim, I forgot to report on my carp findings. I bought a little fish light. (floating Styrofoam). Rigged a longer 12v cord, dropped it in after several Crown and Sprites. The ill natured suspect stayed just long enough for the bright light to hit him,,,,,outcome very peaceful night aboard!!!!!

Hire a diver to clean your hull.  That will remove anything that is attracting them.

A National Rendezvous is a gathering of club members and their beloved Commanders. It is a great place to see some beautiful boats, make new friends and catch-up with old friends. It is always interesting to see what is different on the same model boat and a great place to get ideas, tips & tricks.

If you would like to host a rendezvous, the Executive Committee will assist you with ideas, registration, and anything else you might need.

If your marina, or a marina near you, could house additional boats for a weekend and if you have several Commanders in your area, we encourage you to consider hosting a rendezvous.

Please contact Char Pike, at rendezvous.commanderclub@gmail.com, with your questions.
