1973 36' Sports Cruiser Upper Steering Wheel

Hello,

I want to upgrade my stock steering wheel to something more modern looking (stainless instead of the white) and was wondering if anyone would know the steering shaft diameter/size? I like the stainless three spoke wheels found currently on a lot of sportfish boats.

Thanks,

Craig

  • The white wheels were morse and I think they were 7/8 taper while most other boats had 3/4. The morse steering box in the 70's were built heavier then most hope that helps (I replaced mine by enlarging anoitther spoked wheel to fit)

  • Thanks Bill! Would you happen to know the size of the stock wheel?
