Trans oil pressure?

I got to replace the sketchy total command gauges. Plan on going digital eventually. But I just got to get this thing going for now.why did Chris craft use 0-400 oil pressure gauges. From everything I read a 0-200ish would work? It's hard to find matching gauges with 0-400 oil pressure it seems. What's the max pressure these tranny's run? 8v71 Alison Tranny not sure what number

  • Looking through the HF-7 files in the Sdisc 0-200 would be okay warm at medium rpm, cold and fast you might push 300. The 400 max probably was a considered decision. I think most of us observe with an "above zero and below 3/4 okay" glance most of the time, another reason I added oil pressure idiot lights on the helm as well as a buzzer.

200 will work if it doesn't fail with over pressure.
