Looking through the HF-7 files in the Sdisc 0-200 would be okay warm at medium rpm, cold and fast you might push 300. The 400 max probably was a considered decision. I think most of us observe with an "above zero and below 3/4 okay" glance most of the time, another reason I added oil pressure idiot lights on the helm as well as a buzzer.
200 will work if it doesn't fail with over pressure.
