When I took into consideration of having to replace the tank going in on the boat. I had it polished but I was still getting black powder choking the filters and even the filters on the carburetors. I reached out to Luthers Welding in Rhode Island because I seen that someone else on here posted they used them to fabricate a tank for there's and they are currently looking to see if they still have the old plans to make a new one. Am I jumping the gun or is it just a fact that tank has to go.

Before I got the boat I realized i would likely have to replace the tank but still hoping for the best haha.

It’s probably corrosion on the inside of the tank. I would replace it, I have replaced a tank for that very problem. I took that tank out and had Kehrig reproduce a new one out of Aluminum. They are suposed to be certified for gas, which Kehrig does, there’s probably some companies out near you that do it too.

Thanks some of the crud in the filters are almost the size of dried rice if I carefully pick it it out it crumbles to like a charcoal dust. I'm sure there might be some fabricators near me but would be nice to go with someone who already has the ground work done as far as the dimensions
