The CCCC is a unique club that started out as a pure online discussion forum and e-mail list in February of 1999. Today, the club consists of more than 4,000 members worldwide and continues to grow.

The CCCC has expanded and prospered since its inauguration. The key success factors can be attributable to:

  Knowledgeable members

 Willingness to share

 No dues

 Focus on Commanders

 Online environment

Over the years the CCCC expanded its activities to highly appreciated and attended rendezvous gatherings, several local meets, newsletters, Commander oriented merchandise, and last but not least our unique SuperDisc full of archived information covering virtually every aspect of owning and maintaining a Commander.

With the most active website and forum dedicated to Chris-Craft Commanders, we will be celebrating the joys of today, the memories of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow.  STYLED IN FIBERGLASS Spring 2019 will feature some of those joys, memories and hopes.

To founders and leaders, thank you for your vision, dedication and time.  To the members, thank you for your many contributions.

Share some of your Commander Club memories.

When I started shopping for a Commander I was thrilled to find this website.

Now that I own a Commander I am truly appreciative that this site exists. Twenty years is a long time, thanks for all the hard work and dedication that keeps The CCC Club alive!

Hard to believe, Char. 20 years!!

Just for laughs I went back and looked at one of my first posts. We were getting ready to look at a “1969 Chris Craft 37” and a couple days later was our new ‘68 Commander 35. Since that time 5 1/2 years ago:

- We were introduced to the reason we likely still have this boat, Lee Dahlen (thanks Jeff!)
- Found friends with hidden parts caches
- Tried soaking up 1 word in 10 from 427 experts like Dick Morland and Tim Toth (I’m still not sure what phasing is!?)
- Got woodworking advice (thanks again for answering all those emails, Darin!)
- Had an entire committee of Club members help us evaluate how to proceed when we blew a 427 and were faced with the ultimate dilemma
- Found two new 427’s from a Club member
- Had a Club member help evaluate them (900 miles away - thanks Brian!)
- Helped out other Club members by selling off some of the parts
- Became and officer of the Club
- And completed countless projects either with the help of, or because of jealousy of others in the Club.

What a fantastic group helping keep these gems out on the water. We’re proud to be members and proud of our 50-year old lady.

She smokes a little once in a while, makes funny noises, and friends have seen me check the timing of 427’s in my bathing suit. And sure, she isn’t the fastest, or the newest, or the biggest, or sometimes the prettiest, but if we dock next to your brand-new melted jelly bean or sneaker looking boat, guess who starts getting all the questions...

...many of which I have the answer to because of all of you!

I remember when we hit 100 members it was a milestone!

'she smokes a little once in a while and makes funny noises" -  sounds like my wife....

I wish I had a $ every time someone yelled 'nice boat!' over the water....

This truly is a remarkable club and I'm grateful for all the help I've received. I remember one of my first posts, a photo of my motor. I had no clue what it was other than small block Chevy. In minutes someone responded with '350Q'. Amazing.
