I understand there is information available on removing the hardtop and windshield on the 42 Commander somewhere in this site. I went through the "files" but didn't see anything (although I certainly could have missed it). Can someone direct me to the removal information? Photos instructions etc would be helpful. The marina will be doing the removal so the more information I can give them the better.

Chris, just had mine off year before last. I do not have the hardtop. If you are not removing the windshield, then I can't help. If you are pulling the windshield, I have been in the swamp so to speak. Feel free to give me a call.

Well, after an engine replacement, I'm back to pondering the removal, cleaning, and resetting of the hardtop on our 1967 42 Commander.  I tried the link to the Google site above (Dick's post), but it comes up as not found.  Someone in the club had done this operation while in the water and I thought had some detailed info... anyone want to step forward, or does anyone know the person that did this already?  Perhaps it's not so difficult, but I'd love some guidance and tips so I can better prepare before I take a deep dive into this project in spring....

Thanks Char!  That's what I was looking for so the updated link is good.  That's not a factory hardtop, but some of the details for removal will be the same.  Anyone else out with factory hardtop removal experience give me a shout!
