Hello everyone, I just bought my first classic boat. It is a 1970 Commander 38.  Many things have been redone on the boat, however a lot isn't finished up. I have dual 8.1 Horizon S engines. Certain things run great, many do not. any advise or ideas.. please share on one or all of the things below. I'm not new to boating, however new to classic boats so i haven't had to do a lot of work on any of my boats.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for this boat so i can see what the factory at least did, this boat has had many hands on it, none of which i can speak with. SMH

Doesn't work

1. Cabin lights wont work when off shore power

2. Generator rebuilt and never hooked up. (Do i really need it)

3. Not sure the battery charger is actually charging batteries on shore power.

4. New water tank installed, not hooked up.

5 New A/C units and not sure how to even run those or what i have to do to them.

Most of everything else is small things, fuel gauge, faucet, ect...

congrats on the boat! Just got my first one a few months ago and going through the same stuff.

There is the Files section here that is a resource for many of the questions a new old Chris-craft Commander boat owner may ask.

Here are links to the wiring schematics that you asked about:

These are in the library/files/W location.

Suggest you browse through all of the files sections to get acquainted with what is there.

One final suggestion is to get the Super Disk. The purchase price goes to cover the club operational costs and is a wonderful resource of information. The data is indexed so finding the answer to a question is easily found in addition to the resource section which contains various Commander information such as marketing brochures and pictures..
