Do you need a transom or a swim platform?  I would think it easier to rebuild a transom or trash the boat than do a transplant.

It is a Transom.   I have a fiberglass guy coming over today for his opinion.   We will see.   Thanks,   Jim

Ouch!  Let us know how this works out.

Tim

Got a pleasant surprise from my fiberglass guy.   He will patch and do all for around $400 plus a 20% surcharge from our marina.   He does very good work, as we've had him for issues before.  Thanks for your comments.   Jim

Had the boat over 23 years and at my age, may get ready to sell.   We would miss the boat dearly

So curious! why do you need a transom?

Sounds like a pretty small repair for only $400

Replacing the transom would be a couple months of work

I have a transom from a '69    31 sport

backed into a steel post on the Mississippi R.   Cracked about a 20" area that can be repaired.  He already patched it up till we pull the boat out for Winter dry dock.  He can work on it better then.

Yes it is.  He can put on the piece that was cracked and repair with new fiberglass.   I was lucky.  Thanks
