I have a 1972 23 ft Lancer, The Sliding hatch is missing.  I need some photos of the sliding hatch for the Lancer.  I will be manufacturing one but I need some photos to work with.  One of the most important pictures I could use is the way it slides?  I have no idea what the hatch slides on.  The teak piece is there but cannot determine what allows it to slide. Is there some sort of track I am missing? Wheels?  I could use a few snap shots if you could help me out.

I am also missing the middle glass for the windshield.   Looks like my frame may be slightly bent.  Is the windshield straight across or is there a slight bend in the center?  Is the glass actually bent?

Next time you are out in your boat, if you could find it in your heart to take some close up photos of the slider I would be VERY grateful!

Hi Phil. I have a 67 Lancer. Somewhat restored. The center windshield panel is curved. send me your email and I'll take many pix of the hatch. I'm not sure I've figured out how to post pix on the thread.

Thanks Bill!!   That's unfortunate about the curved glass  I am not sure where I am going to get that when I don't have one to copy. Only have 2 sides of the widow frame.  What have I gotten myself into? LOL

Anyway  here is my email for photos philjdavis@comcast.net

Thanks for the help!  I truly appreciate it.

Hi Bill!

Your 3 photos are fine!!!  There are several ways to post.  One is the way you did it - Upload files.  Another way is to click on the image icon (the one to the right of the word link on the tool bar). The second way will have the photo included right in the post.

Hi Bill

I think I may have found someone that can fabricate the center windshield for me.  A company out of Miami Ocean Dynamics.  Ever heard of them?   anyway they would like some photos in order to send me a quote. Its going to cost me an arm and a leg but I am running out of options at this point.

Any chance you had the time to get some shots??

Hi Bill,

Good news on my side.  I have a Complete windshield and hatch coming in UPS.  My Treasure hunt was succesfull Should be here next week! !!  NO FABRICATIONS NEEDED!!  I would still love to see some close up photos of how the hatch slides if you ever got a chance to take some.  Does it have some sort of nylon guide or something?
