Man, they sure can still design a boat!?

Going through the entire models lineup one notices how many of these boats are outboard powered. Not totally sure how I feel about this, but I'm told that today center console outboard boats are the big thing in Florida, which probably the largest market area for CC -------

Gee, I can't wait until this beautiful boat is about 50 years old so I can afford to purchase a used one like I did with my '69 CCC 35'... but wait, I'll bet these new ones will never last 50 years and mine will still be floating at 100 years old..

Google HCB yachts. They build a 65' "Center Console" and hung five (yes 5) 627 H.P Seven Marine outboards off the back. They also put 1500 gallon fuel tanks in it. Cant' beat the power to weight ratio, and repowering is as easy as finding a credit card with a high enough balance. It's only a matter of time til someone sticks a Gil Bracket on the back of an old Commander and tries it with outboards. :(

A 38 foot launch.  wow.

Imagine the boat you would have to need a 38 foot launch to get to it.

From Wikipedia - Originally a launch was the largest boat carried by a warship in the age of sail. The word comes from the Spanish lancha ("barge") and Portuguese, from Malay lancaran ("boat"), from lancar ("velocity without effort").[3]

Nat, we had a member exploring the idea of putting outboards on his 35.  I think it was more a trolling change than a going somewhere idea.
