Do you have the Mallory dual points in the distributor? Or was it converted to electronic ignition? Are cap and rotor newer? In good shape?
If it’s points, check to see if you have spark. If not, check the resistor on the coil and check the coil too.
Make sure coil wire is not arcing. How old are the plug wires?
Does fuel squirt into the Carb when you pump the throttle?
I converted mine to electronic ignition, the Mallory dual points are a pain to maintain. Made a huge improvement in performance. Give me a call to discuss.

I bought your Dad's 41 Flush Deck in 2005. Had it in the Hudson River until 2015, moved it back to Tonawanda last year. Bought a home on the Canal. It's been a great boat.
