The Classifieds section makes it possible for registered members to post "For Sale" ads about Commanders or Commander related equipment and spare parts. The ads can be seen by anyone visiting the site. Posting ads is free.

Posting by commercial entities is not allowed unless approved by the webmaster.

The Classifieds section is built on the format and programming of our Discussion Forum. Hence, handling of ads is more or less equivalent to handling discussion posts.

Posting a new ad

  1. To get optimum layout: Start by copying the table below.
  2. Click this link to start create a new ad.

  3. Under the heading "Discussion Title:" write the headline for your ad.
  4. Paste the table that you copied in step #1 into the text field.
  5. Fill in the table.
  6. Click  the +Add photo button (see illustration to the left) to ad photo(s).
  7. Finish by clicking "Add Discussion".

Tip: To copy table above:

  1. Select it by holding down the left key on your mouse and then dragging from the top left corner to the lower right corner.
  2. Press CTRL+C on your keyboard to copy. Make sure you select the entire table, not just a part of it, see illustration to the left.
  3. Start a new ad by clicking here
  4. Place your cursor where you want the table to be.
  5. Press CTRL+V to paste the table into the ad.

 

Updating an ad

Once you posted your ad you can edit the content as often as you wish. This is how.

  1. Locate your ad in the Classified section
  2. Open your ad in edit mode using the menu under the Options icon.
  3. Make the changes
  4. Click Save

Handling comments on an ad

Viewers of the ad that are signed in members of the CCCC can add a comment to your ad. When someone adds a comment you will be notified via e-mail notification. If the comment includes a question it is usually a good idea for you to reply to the comment. Here is how:

  1. Click the link in the notification e-mail. (DO NOT try to reply to the e-mail)
  2. You can also locate your ad in the Classifieds
  3. Type your reply in the Comments field.

Delete an ad

When you sold your boat/accessory/spare part you are kindly asked to delete your ad.This will also save you from getting unnecessary calls from prospective buyers.

  1. Locate your ad in the Classified section
  2. Delete your ad by using the menu under the Options icon

Automatic delete of an ad

Ads that are not deleted by the originating member will be deleted 12 months after being published. No prior warning will be given.

  7th Annual Photo Contest Winners

The 7th Annual Chris-Craft Commander Club Photo Contest was a smashing success, with 79 entries!!  The top ten photos were selected, by your Executive Committee, with the final vote put to the membership to select the top 3 .  We received almost 300 votes, which is about 200 more than normal.  And not to be outdone, we had a 3-way tie for 3rd place!!!
