To search our site you have multiple options:

  1. Search the whole site
  2. Search a specific section of the site
  3. Search for members
  4. Search classifieds ads

Notice: If you are not a member or not logged in, some information will not appear in the search results.

1. Search the whole site

  1. Locate the search box. It is situated in the very top right hand corner, above the banner photo at the top.
  2. Type in your search word(s).
  3. Hit Enter on your keyboard

2. Search a specific section of the site

You can limit your search to only search in a specific section of the site, i.e forum posts, photos, videos or library documents. Searching for members and classifieds have some additional features, see instructions below.

  1. Go to the section in question using the tabs in the top navigation menu.
  2. Locate the search field. It is usually directly under the section headline.
  3. Type in your search word(s).
  4. Hit Enter on your keyboard.

3. Search for members

To search the member registry you must be a member yourself and be signed in

You can do a general search, similar to other sections described above but you can also do an easy to use advanced search. You can for example search for members with the same Commander model as you, or members with a specific model year, or that have a specific type of engines, or live in your area or any combination of those.

To do a simple search:

  1. Go to the member registry using the Member tab in the top navigation menu.
  2. Locate the search field.
  3. Type in your search word(s).
  4. Hit Enter on your keyboard.

To make a advanced search described above:

  1. Go to the Search Member located in the Member tab's drop down menu.
  2. Tick in the boxes or type in information in the appropriate fields matching what you are looking for.
  3. Click the Search button at the bottom.

Tip: It is tempting to do a too detailed search. This will result in getting no hits at all.Try applying only 1-2 selections first. Then narrow down your search by applying more selections if necessary.

4. Search classifieds ads

You can easily narrow down your search. You can for example do a search for boats of a specific size or boats in your home state. Here is how:

  1. Go to the Classifieds located in the Shop tab's drop down menu.
  2. Type in your search word(s).
  3. Use the drop down menu to narrow down your search.
  4. Click the Search button.

  • If you are looking for a specific Commander model you will get the best results by using the Length, field, and not the Boat Model field. (The reason is that sellers do not use standardized ways of typing in their model name.)
  • To search a boat near you, you get the best results by using the Home port field and search for a specific state. Try both typing it out i.e Michigan and the abbreviation, i.e. MI.
  • The Classifieds search field does not accept search string operators like AND, OR, NOT, <>
