Hi Mark..Thank you for reaching out.  Still here in Mexico with my Cat powered 392.  Meets its mission requirements quite nicely...going to the Alacrane Islands 65-85 miles North into the Gulf of Mexico.  Doubt if I´ll ever live back in the U.S....nice home, affordable boat (here) and decent fishing and low taxes...What´s not to like?  Do not get on the CC site much so apologize not getting back sooner..  Keep in touch and  ever close by...stop and its a boat ride on "Islero"..  Don Hoblit

no, actually it made my efficiency worse.  I believe it is because they have more displacement now.  I am not sure about MPH, I usually cruise about 18 knots which is about 3000 rmps, seems that is the same as it always has been.

The main benefit is piece of mind.  We go out everyweekend, not a marina Queen, so I like the thought of less than 500 hours on my rebuilds. Also they start much easier, when it is cold early spring and fall, they would be a bit cranky, now they generally fire right up.

hey Mark,  Sorry I guess I don't check this very often.

Had both motor rebuilt, 20 over on the bore and the crank journals ground.  The port motor was losing a bit of oil pressure, I never had a failure or breakdown.    We had it done because the motors both had about 1800 hours and we plan on keeping the vessel for 10 to 15 more years so I figured it had to be done at some point.

Hi Mark...Thank you for contacting.   Measuring today to install a bamboo floor as you.   Will be a huge improvement to get the smelly shag carpet removed..so dated.  New vinyl / sunbrella currently in the process for 3 sides..$1800.00 USD.   Refinishing teak, etc...pictures I can send in the near future if you like...Always open for any tips..

I have been so busy, 64 days, I am doomed. I have knee surgery this month  and we bought a second boat for parts. So this winter has been spent outside or in the cabin tearing it apart. What have you been up to?
