One of my Sea cock valves similar to the attached pic is stuck open. The cylinder handle is missing and I have been using a small bolt to close it. Should I heat it up? Put a screw driver in it and…Continue

My port engine will not exceed 3000 RPM. It has a laboring sound at this point. The starboard engine kicks into that sweet sounding "Wah" sound at around 3500 RPM but even it does not exceed that…Continue

Wayne,
My email has changed back to bonniedick@verizon.net and I just got around to correcting it. I was wondering why I wasn't getting any messages from the forum! Now I know................

Hi, Wayne. Salli and I both enjoyed meeting you and the other members at the regional at Hale's Bar Marina-you have a great boat! I did not expect to win anything at the drawing, but was sure pleased to receive the beautiful coffee mug-thank you. We look forward to meeting up with you and your wonderful wife once again and soon! Best regards, Roger
Well, don't know what your gear reduction is on the re-power. Maybe they
are the same 2.5:1 that the 427's used. If it is different, that would
explain a lot.
The originals were 4394 & 4395. They are T-33 and 23X25. The Diesels used
23X26 with 2.0:1 gear reduction.
So, my guess is that you have different reduction gear. When you get that
information, a change in props will be clearer.
Jim
I didn't recommend any props for Bill. He used the props that were on the boat when he got it. These are 4394 & 4395. T-33 style, 23" x 25". These props were used on diesel powered 38 sedans. They're a bit too much for you. I would recommend taking 1" of pitch out, preferably 2". Not all prop shops can do that on these big props. If you would like to discuss, call me on 331-442-5460 (My wife's cell, mine is in the hospital) :-(
