Generally a complete restoration consists of: complete disassembly, test, clean, lubricate the movement, reface the gauge, repaint the pointer and re-calibrate the movement. The case is bead blasted, white zinc plated or repainted, any light filters are replaced. All glass is polished unless it has silk-screening-then it is replaced. any inner bezels are repainted and the bezel(s) are re-chromed

For 427 engines with Carter Carbs per Tim Toth
The ONLY CORRECT carb base gasket is from www.cometic.com # C5262FC 4 hole , square bore & .060 thick . You will need 2 per carb , 1 for spacer to manifold & 1 for carb to spacer . You MUST have the factory supplied 4 hole spacer & 4 hole gaskets for proper engine performance . All carb repair kits have the wrong style / thickness carb base gasket when shipped . The Cometic gaskets are made in the USA in Ohio . Your carb idle mixture screws need to be set at 1 1/2 turns out from fully seated for initial setting . The 427 engine has only 1 timing mark on the flywheel @ 10 degrees advance !

Ben made a mold and cast two new pairs of railing hinges for a 47 Commander with wood rails. Since I have paid for the molds ($145.00), if you need these parts, get in touch with Ben and he will use my mold and save you the cost of new molds. Ben charged me $145.00 for the molds and $85.00/pr for the castings. Evidently this is not sand casting.
